Smoothing trimming area –Nancy Gallagher

Pottery Tip –

if you’re trimming with one of the larger (traditional pear shaped) Kemper Tools (I say this tool because it has a rather wide trimming area), you can use the flat surface of the metal on top to burnish the pot and push the grog back into the clay. This will smooth the trimmed surface and avoid potential pinholing later. (this tip originally from BvG…via me)
