Grind up clay and bisc for crack repair

Pottery tip of the day:

When firing a one of a kind piece, always make sure you take some of the clay, it was made with, and grind it up and fire it in the bisc fire with the piece. That way if a crack develops, you can take that ground up, bisced, clay and sodium silicate and form a thin paste. Then work the paste into the crack, let dry, sand and rebisc fire. Glaze as normal.
