Buckets for wareboard

Pottery tip of the day:

You can use a bucket lid for a wareboard when working with greenware that you want to keep moist. Then, when it’s time to cover it until tomorrow, then just cover the lid with the bucket.

We use buckets (of all sizes) to cover greenware all the time whether we use the lids or not. It’s amazing how long they will keep pieces moist until one can return to trim, and/or attach handles, or whatnot. Other work can be placed on top of the overturned buckets, like plates.
