270 Zinc oxide – from Morocco – (calcined at 950° C )
210 Quartz
50 Ti O2
10 Alumina
30 Lithium Carbonate
30 Bentonite or 10 Bentone

II. (few crystals ) best for clay….

510 Ferro Frit 3110
230 Zinc oxide – from Morocco – (calcined at 950° C )
230 Quartz
25 Caolin
15 Alumina
30 Bentonite or 10 Bentone

470 Ferro Frit 3110
240 ZnO
240 Quartz
20 TiO2
20 Bentonite
20 Copper Carbonate (or… 60 Manganese carbonate… or ….)

Colours:
3 % Copper oxide – green
6 % Manganese carbonate – brown
6 % Manganese carbonate – brownish-pink-violet
3 % Niquel oxide or 4% Niquel Carbonate – blue crystals with brownish-orange background (in case of Niquel: never use/ cancel TiO2 !!! )
1,5 % Cobalt oxide – blue crystals on beige background
3 % Cobalt oxide – blue crystals on blue background
3 % Cobalt oxide + 3 % Manganese oxide + 3 % red iron oxide (Fe2O3) – blue crystals on dark blue-black background (from Jesse Hull)

Firing Schedule:
in 6 – 8 h to 1160° C
the last 100° C as fast as possible….. (important!!!!)… if you need more than 1 hour… change heating elements!!!!
hold 10 minutes at 1260° C
Cool down to 1090° C in 60 minutes
Maintain 1090° C for 4 – 5 hours

Halos:
After 2 ½ hours holding at 1090° – every 45 minutes – (3 or 4 times this procedure) open/ close/ open/ close….kiln, this way letting temperature fall 30-40° C …then close kiln again and let it “recover” its 1090°C . If you have a controller… give 15 minutes to go down from 1090° C to 1050° C, and 30 minutes to go up again to 1090° C
