Opal Blue Glaze ^4-6 ox or redux –Teresa Gagne

Opal Blue Glaze ∆ 4 – 6Ferro Frit 3134 50
EPK 30
Flint 25
total 125

add:
cobalt oxide 2.5
OR cobalt carb 4.0

rutile 5.0

This glaze settles quickly so you might want to add some epsom salts or bentonite.

The bowl is made with a red stoneware and breaks dark. On a white clay body it breaks green. When refired to ∆06 it results in a lot of green.

Similar results in oxidation/reduction.

The above recipe says a total of 125 but the main raw materials do not add up to this. Is there another ingredient missing from above please? I would be interested to know as it looks like a nice glaze. Thanks
